Alle aansoeke by Paarl-skool moet deur die distrikskantore van die Wes-Kaapse Onderwysdepartement (WKOD) verwerk word. U kan die WKOD-distrikskantoor kontak wat aan u woongebied toegeken is. Hulle sal u van 'n aansoekvorm voorsien wat u moet invul en onderteken, saam met leiding oor die beste geskikte skool vir u kind. Indien u kind tans in 'n WKOD-skool is, behoort die skool u met hierdie deel van die proses te help. Saam met die aansoek moet enige verslae \u2013 medies, terapeuties of skolasties van aard \u2013 aangeheg word. Die voltooide aansoekpakket word dan teruggestuur na die distrikskantoor vir verwerking.<\/p>\n

Die plasingskomitee, bestaande uit verteenwoordigers van die WKOD-hoofkantoor, verskeie distrikskantore en spesiale skole, vergader elke kwartaal om alle aansoeke wat vir 'n spesifieke skool ontvang word, te bespreek en een van die volgende uitkomste te bereik:<\/p>\n

    Die aansoek verskaf genoeg inligting om aan te dui dat die leerder sal baat vind by die program wat by daardie skool aangebied word. Die kind se naam word op die waglys geplaas en plasing sal aangebied word sodra 'n opening beskikbaar word.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  2. \n

    Die kind word genooi vir 'n sifting-\/proefplasing by die spesiale skool.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  3. \n

    Meer inligting is nodig voordat 'n aanbeveling gemaak kan word.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  4. \n

    Uit die inligting wat in die aansoek verskaf is, is dit duidelik dat plasing by die spesifieke spesiale skool nie in die leerder se beste belang sal wees nie. Die aansoek word teruggestuur na die saakbestuurder vir verdere bestuur en ondersteuning.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Die volgende groepe leerders word tot Paarl-skool toegelaat:<\/p>\n

    \u2022 Leerders met serebrale gestremdheid \u2013 \u2018n permanente gestremdheid wat postuur, beweging en spiertonus affekteer as gevolg van skade aan die ontwikkelende brein.<\/p>\n

    \u2022 Leerders met fisiese gestremdhede \u2013 mediese en fisiese toestande wat suksesvolle plasing in hoofstroom-onderwys belemmer, bv. spierdistrofie, spina bifida, spinale atrofie, artritis, neurofibromatose, artrogryfose, sindrome, miopatie, progerie, gekompliseerde ernstige respiratoriese en\/of mediese toestande sowel as leerders wat geslote hoofbeserings opgedoen het (bv. in \u2019n motorongeluk).<\/p>\n

    \u2022 Leerders met spesifieke leerhindernisse \u2013 leerders met \u2018n gemiddelde tot bo-gemiddelde kognitiewe vermo\u00eb, maar wat nie volgens hul kognitiewe vermo\u00eb presteer in \u2019n spesifieke skolastiese area nie (bv. lees, spelling, wiskunde of skrif).<\/p>\n

    \u2022 Leerders met neurogene spraak- en\/of taalafwykings \u2013 afwykings in spraak- en taalvermo\u00ebns wat voortspruit uit skade aan die senuweestelsel\/brein (bv. afasie en verbale apraksie).<\/p>\n

    \u2022 Leerders met ontwikkelingsko\u00f6rdinasieversteuring (DCD) - 'n chroniese neurologiese toestand wat motoriese ko\u00f6rdinasie en die vermo\u00eb om alledaagse take uit te voer, be\u00efnvloed. Dit word tipies in die kinderjare gediagnoseer en kan voortduur tot in volwassenheid. Simptome van DCD sluit in: probleme met aanleer van motoriese vaardighede, vertraging in bereiking van motoriese mylpale, swak balans en ko\u00f6rdinasie, probleme met fyn motoriese vaardighede en probleme met beplanning en organisasie. Dit is nie 'n leerafwyking nie, maar dit kan leer be\u00efnvloed. Leerders met DCD
    \nsukkel met fisiese take en aktiwiteite wat hulle binne en buite die skool moet\nuitvoer.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
