Thirteen buses transport 170 learners daily to and from school. It is mostly the Northern Suburbs of the Cape that is covered. Bus drivers consist of a few teachers, parents and people from the community. Learners who do not live near a bus route are accommodated in the school's residence.

Paarl School has hostel facilities for boys and girls who live outside our bus route areas. The hostel closes over week-ends.
In a structured study environment the learners are supported by teaching staff and therapists. Each learner's specific and individual scholastic needs are addressed. During certain study times they also have an opportunity to do research and to complete projects on computer in the school's Media Centre.
A caring and supportive hostel staff, consisting of teaching staff, hostel mothers and general assistants, take care of the learners' physical and emotional well-being. Three balanced meals are prepared daily in the kitchen. Sandwiches are available during breaks and before bedtime. The hostel also has laundry facilities.
The hostel has various recreation rooms: a TV room and games room where e.g. teenagers can play pool or listen to music. During the summer months, learners can enjoy themselves in the school's swimming pool or play on the lawns and playground apparatus. There are also tarmacs for the easy movement of wheelchairs.
The Paarl School hostel offers a loving and caring home for learners from pre-school to grade 9. This environment where physically and learning disabled children live together, provides them with an opportunity to develop character and self esteem.
